Hazardous Exposure - Season 06, Episode 06

By Karen

Mrs. Tishell has received her release from the doctor so she no longer needs supervision. Which means she doesn't need to share her pharmacy practice with Jenny. But Bert makes a plea to keep Jenny in Portwenn. When one of his ideas doesn't work - he goes for the big one. And is pleasantly surprised.

A local contractor has a nasty cough and heavy lungs. After some questioning by the Doc he gets the idea that maybe it's the insulation he's installed in several houses in town. The Dream Team - Penhale, A. Large, aforementioned local contractor - gathers at the police station to investigate the claim. Penhale decides to staple a few posters (and his hand) to a couple of poles around town to warn residents and then calls in the HazMat team to confirm his suspicions of asbestos. They were so sure. Ah, well... maybe next time.

The Doc's mom shows up at his door. Wearing black. His father has died and she just wanted to 'stop by' to tell him in person. And to apologize for all the terrible things she's ever said and done to him. But something's off. Louisa knows it, the Doc knows it, James Henry knows it and hell, even Mike knows it. Her actions don't match her words. What to believe?

Awkward first dates, a new dry cleaning (and shoe shine) bill, pigeon poo disease, more voodoo medicine and lavender scented cats. They should have called in that HazMat team long ago... for oh-so-many reasons. I'm sure the Doc would agree.

Enjoy Hazardous Exposure...
