"Don't Let Go" - Season 05, Episode 06

- by Karen

This is a rough one. The people of Portwenn just aren't gettin' along.

PC Penhale's ex-wife, Maggie, is still in town. Her memory has returned which means she's ready to leave Portwenn, but Joe isn't ready to let her go. Strangely enough, she's conflicted about leaving, too. He decides he has to try to prove to her he's a changed man - stronger and more forceful - so she'll stick around. And if he didn't have to pay people to help him prove he's a bolder man, it may have just worked.

Louisa's having a tough time at school. The students and teachers are back from holidays and the kids are more unruly than normal. On top of that, the school's caretaker is acting strange and being forgetful. So forgetful, in fact, he ends up on the roof unable to climb down. Luckily the Doc swoops in to save the day. He has to...PC Penhale, we learn, is a afraid of heights. The Doc also knows just how to handle these folks. It's a bit physical, but seems to work often enough.

The Doc and Louisa are at it again. They can't seem to agree on anything. The Doc makes arrangements for James without Louisa's involvement for the last time. She learns that he's already scheduled the Christening without telling her and that's the last straw. She realizes she has no idea how any of this is going to work and leaves with James Henry. The Doc is trying to pretend he's not affected by this latest blow-up, but it's hard to escape the ticking of the clock.

Awaiting you this week is tongue-licking, more face slapping, kill zones, a shortcut to Bert's, the new tea-painting effect, cracked masks soaked in wine, and finger sharpening.
Jump in and Don't Let Go....  Enjoy!
