Bert and Al are making some extra cash on the side by selling their used frying oil to Tommy, the taxi driver, who's creating his own bio-fuel. It's Tommy's way of keeping fares low. The concept is good: Bert makes a little extra money, Tommy saves on gas... but that's pretty much where the good ideas end. Do they need to research how to make bio-fuels? Heck, no! Should they call in a chemical/environmental/bio-tech engineer for expert advice? They don't need no stinkin' engineers!
The day is winding down. As the Doc heads out of town, he has one final medical emergency at the Harbor Days Festival when one of the
It's a happy ending to Series 4. The Doc finally tells Louisa he was wrong about everything and it sounds like he just might be sticking around Portwenn a little while longer...
Boy, Edith is gonna be pissed.
The population of Portween just increased by one. Are there more to come?
This week will keep you glued to your seat with stolen kisses in the pharmacy, a hand-holding fungus, Cricket balls (or are you just happy to see me?), whacked-out ganglions, "Bad Boy" Buddy, and redheads who won't take no for an answer (also known as the "It's not you, it's me" routine ~ for you Seinfeld fans out there).
Enjoy The Wrong Goodbye...

I was very impressed with LindaG’s pig latin, and backwards, too! I guess dyslexia comes in handy when studying pig latin, hah!
ReplyDeleteI’m glad I could join you gals again. It’s neat the way the writer’s reminded us of the total contrast between Doc and Louisa in the scene at the school. There he is, all business-like, presenting his spreadsheets to Louisa, while she is struggling with her emotions and fighting back tears.
Mrs. Tishell couldn’t hold back anymore and finally made her move on the Doc in a very funny scene at the pharmacy. I must admit that my heart broke for Mrs. T when the Doc stuffed the gift sweater in the trash can.
The planning and care in this show’s scripts are amazing. Using the loudspeaker to let all the townsfolk in on the birth of the baby was brilliant. It really looks like they intended to end the series at that pub. I’m glad they didn’t.
